Gear advice from people who play
Peripheral Picks is an independent site that helps gamers choose headsets, mice, keyboards, displays, controllers, and PC builds without wading through spec-sheet noise.
Why this site exists
Most review sites tell you a product is “great” and never say who it’s great for. A $30 mouse can be the right answer for one player and the wrong one for another, and a $150 one can be a waste of money for both.
Every guide here starts from one question: given how you actually play, what should you buy? We tell you who each pick is for, who should skip it, and what you give up at that price.
How we decide what to recommend
- We match the buyer, not the spec sheet.Picks are grouped by how you play and what you spend, so you can find your situation quickly.
- We name the compromises.Budget gear has trade-offs, and some products quietly don’t work with your setup. We call those out instead of burying them.
- We say where our advice comes from. When a recommendation comes from hands-on time, we say so. When it comes from careful research across professional reviews and owner feedback, we say that instead.
- We keep guides current.Prices move and products get replaced. Guides are dated and updated when the market changes.
No brand pays for a spot in our guides.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. That’s what keeps the site running.
It doesn’t change what we recommend. We’d rather point you to the right product and earn nothing than steer you wrong and earn a cut. Prices shown are approximate and can vary by retailer and date.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
