Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what your choices are.

The short version: we use analytics to see which pages are useful, affiliate partners use cookies to track referrals, and we only see your email address if you write to us. We don’t sell personal information, and this site isn’t meant for children under 13.
Who we are
Peripheral Picks (peripheralpicks.com) publishes gaming gear guides and reviews. You can reach us at contact@peripheralpicks.com.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see which pages people visit and how they find us. This includes pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, and approximate location.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser, and the pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
We don’t ask you to create an account, and there is no checkout on this site.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site and its partners use them in two ways:
- Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and understand how the site is used.
- Affiliate tracking. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network sets a cookie so a purchase can be credited to us. We don’t see what you buy or who you are. We only see summary reports.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them won’t stop you from reading the site. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and explains how it uses information from sites like this one.
Third parties that may receive your data
- Google, for analytics, search reporting, and web fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google’s servers.
- Our web host, which stores the site and its server logs.
- Retailers and affiliate networks, such as Amazon and other partners, once you click through to their sites. Their own privacy policies apply from that point.
We don’t sell your personal information.
How we use what we collect
- To understand which guides are helpful and improve them.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To measure whether our affiliate links lead to purchases.
How long we keep it
We keep emails only as long as we need them to respond and keep basic records. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings, and server logs follow our host’s retention schedule.
Children
Peripheral Picks is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as asking what we hold, or asking us to correct or delete it. Email contact@peripheralpicks.com and we’ll respond. Because we collect so little, there is often nothing to delete beyond an email exchange.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to retailers, brands, and other sites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies before you share information.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the site, but no website or connection is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding an email newsletter or advertising, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
